SNAD EVENTS (Recent & Upcoming):
1. URGENT!!! NMI PRESIDENT ZOOM TRAININGS: Please contact Martina ASAP
Martina Garcia (Apache Avenue),SNAD NMI President, will be hosting three Local NMI President Training Sessions via Zoom. Each session well cover different topics so I encourage you to attend all three if possible. These are the scheduled dates and Zoom links will be sent out to your emails/phone.

2. DISTRICT ASSEMBLY---JUNE 2025---Thank you to all who participated, completed requirements, encouraged & assisted in so many ways! Dr. Sarmiento (General Superintendent) again did a fantastic job in leading us on Saturday and as of August 1, 2025, Dr. T. Scott Daniels is the General Superintendent assigned to SNAD. Our new missionaries are The Jara Family who serve in Armenia.
3. CHURCH/PASTOR/CONGREGANT/FRIEND VISITS---JULY 2025---Eileen & I got to visit with many at/from Pine Hill, Twin Buttes, Ramah Sandmountain, Chilchinbeto, Apache Avenue, Cameron, & in Kayenta, too. Pastor Nellie Yazzie-David was installed as the Lead Pastor at Chilchinbeto!
4. WOMEN’S RETREAT---August 15-17, 2025---What a great weekend was had with almost 80 women that registered! A big THANK YOU & JOB WELL DONE to Laverne Wilson (Apache Avenue) and her Team!!!SNAD Churches represented were: Round Cedar, Pine Hill, South Tucson, Kinlani, Dilkon First, Apache Avenue, Somerton Cocopah, Parker, Restoration, Winterhaven Quechan, Leupp, Lehi, & Ramah Navajo. There were other participants from five other non-SNAD churches that were welcomed! Next year’s Women’s Retreat will be in Albuquerque, NM.
5. MEN’S RETREAT---October 31-November 2, 2025 at Camp Pinerock in Prescott, AZ. Registration is now happening. The cost is $115. If you need help in registering, please contact me directly. 6. ZONE RALLIES---Please check the SNAD website (snadcotn.org) often for the most recent information on the dates/times/instructions for the Zone Rallies. The Zone Presidents are: Northern (Pastors Liz & Tony Nez--Kaibeto); Central (Pastor Raymond Long—Round Cedar); Eastern (Pastor Kaye Gene Yazzie—New Life); Southern (Pastor Rev. Daniel Liston—South Tucson Community). Thank you, Zone Presidents!
7. WINTER RETREAT---November 7-9, 2025 at Camp Pinerock, Prescott, AZ. Please check the SNAD Website for the flyer. Fern Pokagon (Apache Avenue) NDI President, is our leader for this & she has already sent the flyer to the churches, too! Thank you, Fern! We are looking forward to being there!
8. MIDYEAR CONVENTION---January 29-31, 2026 at Phoenix First Church of the Nazarene. Please remember that the Men’s & Women’s Ministries will both be hosting Friday morning breakfasts with Nathan Hosteenez (Round Cedar) & Laverne Wilson (Apache Avenue) leading us. Thank you, Nathan & Laverne!!
9. MINISTERIAL BOARD MEETING AND INTERVIEWS---February 27 & 28, 2026 at Phoenix First Church of the Nazarene. Your Ministerial Pastor Board Members are: Mike Andrews(DS), Raymond Long (Round Cedar), Kaye Gene Yazzie (New Life), Darrell Begay (Leupp), Arnie Short(Parker), Roberta Short (Parker), Wilkinson Sage (Twin Buttes). Pastor Carla Durby (SNAD Ministerial Liaison/Lake Havasu) will also be present. Board Members will meet Friday evening for a meal meeting & prayer & information exchange in preparation for Saturday’s interviews. All District Licensed Pastors (& those applying for a District Pastor’s License) will have a required appointment for an interview on Saturday, February 28, 2026. 10. ELEVATE YOUTH EVENT---May 22-25, 2026 at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) in San Diego CA. Please contact Danielle Nez (Dilkon First) NYI President, for more information. Thank you, Danielle!
11. DISTRICT ASSEMBLY---June 11-13, 2026 at Phoenix First Church of the Nazarene.
12. NAZARENE YOUTH CONVENTION---June 28-July 7, 2026 in Salt Lake City, UT. The actual convention is July 1-5, 2026. Hannah Bitsui-Velazquez (Kinlani) is heading this up. Thank you, Hannah! Eileen & I will both be attending!!
13. CHILDREN’S BIBLE QUIZZING-----Darlene Paddock (Dilkon 1st) is heading this very important ministry. Please contact her for any information. Thank you, Darlene!
14. SNAD PRAISE & PRAYER CALENDAR---The most recent copy is attached to this communication and will also be posted on the SNAD website. All of our churches are prayed within & outside of our District!!!
THANK YOU to all of you that submit SNAD events to Eileen to update the SNAD website to inform & invite our District to participate. More SNAD website updates are forthcoming soon. Much, if not all, of the information above has been & is shared in the Zone Rallies, too. I am so glad to hear of the many activities & events that are occurring (Revivals, Campmeetings, Vacation Bible Schools, Work Teams from within & outside of SNAD, etc). I know we do not do these things just to be busy. I am reminded that we are involved and support these things because we have received THE CALL……
… to make Christlike disciples in the nations
As a global community of faith, we are commissioned to TAKE THE GOOD NEWS OF LIFE IN JESUS CHRIST to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness across lands.
